Alien proof constructions has secured large amounts of the MEKanarky complex and dedicated it to set building. The fully equipped workshop is ready to go and we are not
afraid of a short deadline, we have high ceilings and the 16 m clear span space can accommodate any project and access is as good as any private workshop in Sydney.
Alien Proof is run by Cameron J Stanton aka RAN. " I am classically trained theatrical scenery builder " in the time since the workshop moved to Turrella from the superseded premises in Tempe it has survived on a varied diet of jobs in the film,television,theatre and even the dreaded exhibition industry. We also design where necessary and build residential furniture but prefer to use sustainable materials in peoples homes to help balance the quick pace of the entertainment industry.
I have 18 years experience in set building, prop making and special effects ,15 of these after finishing a formal apprenticeship at NIDA .I have worked for many of the set builders and have a long list of experienced carpenters and other specialists I am in association with many lodged in the MEKanarky grip.
